The Basket Range Wines story began when Philip Broderick planted classic Bordeaux red varieties on his property in Basket Range (Adelaide Hills) in the 1980s. Since that time, the vineyards have been converted to organic viticulture, and the younger generation of Brodericks have taken over much of the winery work, with Sholto Broderick taking on the largest winemaking role here now, and with fantastic results. This is a gloriously light and delicate Adelaide Hills Syrah, but still with the beautiful lush fruit and light spice that make this variety so well loved. Brilliant work and such a great combo of easy-drinking and complexity!Â
