Giacomo Traversa founded the Traversa winery all the way back in 1834, and today his family continues the winery in that tradition. With the Alps as a backdrop, the the Piedmont region is home to some of the most sought after wines in Italy, with Nebbiolo being the grape that is also made into the famous and very age-worthy Barolo wines. This Neb is lightly floral and displays characters of raspberry, cherry and red fruits. It's is a delicious and balanced example of Italian Nebbiolo and great value at this price point. A wine for those who don't know Nebbiolo well, as well as those who already love this grape variety and want to check out another interpretation of a northern Italian classic!
