The Harkham Wines story began before the family took over an estate and winery in the Hunter Valley in 2005. In 1951, the matriarch of the family, Aziza, became a pioneer in the Israeli wine scene of that time, inspiring her next generations to continue in this tradition. Speaking of tradition, all their wines adhere to strict conditions required to become certified kosher - only a Rabbi and the winemakers themselves are able to enter the barrel fermentation room. The wine, however, speaks for itself and this is a lovely expression of Hunter Valley Shiraz produced from old vines from quality growers in the region. Dark fruits, easy going smooth tannin, fresh and absolutely delicious!
