The name Leko comes from the words Lenswood and Koerner, referring to the Lenswood location of their Adelaide Hills winery the brothers Damon and Jono Koerner. No strangers to producing quality wine (under labels Koerner Wine and Brothers Koerner), the Leko label focuses on Hills fruit from their own and a few other select vineyards.
This is a lovely red blend and they've provided some quite precise details on the blending ratio! : 39% Pinot Noir, 24% Sangiovese, 23% Merlot, 8% Syrah, 5% Mencia & 1% Gamay. It comes across as an easy drinking, medium bodied red with beautiful red fruit flavours and a touch of spice. Lovely stuff from Leko!
