This wine is part of a series of four single vineyard releases. This number is going to decline to two in the next vintage, so we are looking at something we may never see again from AOW. Another completely free run juice of pure Nebbiolo, this wine is sitting in a part of the Hills closer to home, and it comes out in its softer and more playfully sweet body. There's more cherry here, with gentle grippy tannins encouraged by almost a month on skins. This is the wine of the series that could go either way with food or by itself - it's still a serious wine, but gosh it's good.
