Husband and wife James and Alanna produced their first wine in 2016 using grapes from vineyards that James' father David had established in 1997 (which they are now in the process of converting to organic). This Fume Blanc is described as a Sauvignon Blanc that's been given the 'Chardonnay treatment' (generally, fermenting and aging in oak barrels). Style-wise, it sits in the middle of a full bodied Chardonnay and a lean, conventional Aussie Sauvignon Blanc. Acid driven, grapefruit, citrus and mineral. Fresh and delicious!
